How the cat photo gallery works
Rather than storing images on this site, the gallery requests them at the moment you open the page. Each tab calls a different free image service:
- Cat Photos — pulls a batch of random images from The Cat API.
- More Cats — pulls additional portraits from the Cataas (Cat as a Service) project.
- Facebook — links out to established cat charities, communities, and breed groups.
Because the photos are fetched live, the "Load More Photos" button simply requests another batch — and every visit shows a different set of cats.
